this is a cool, but not an emergency! who would go on a hike, never mind a winter camp and bring all of that bulky and heavy stuff. i've been in Indian guides, trail blazers. my boys are in boy scouts. no one, even the troupe master, has that. a shove, and/or ax, trees is all you need with 20 min. dont for get the tent and slping bag you have to help with shelter. avalanches ONLY happen when there is layers of snow, ice, snow for slippage step slops, or cave ins if walls are 12 in. or less. still a good video. i have trees in front yard and i pile snow from driveway on them while my kids make a 6 foot high, 10 foot long roller coaster type sled run.

I need this much snow and that Cave Carver. Believe it or not we get an average of 6-10 inches of snow per snowfall and this is Canada! What is this sorcery??
