video Number 5 in the 10 things to do with a wool blanket series. In this video Fozz of Forrester Bushcraft demonstrates how to make an improvised shelter by suspending your blanket from a low limb of a tree. Whilst this is not the most effective shelter for long term camping it is a very quick and effective way to stay warm in an emergency situation. This method uses two spruce cones & some paracord along side the blanket.

ive had wool coat and wool mittens my whole life but i just realized the power of wool. the closest thing to having fur like an animal. and i have done things like in the video but in high wind and especially rain storms it is problematic. its a sitting pose but 3 sticks leaned on one side of a tree and blanket on top and leaves where you sit to make a 1/3 ti-pi of sorts works in a pinch very well i have found out.

have you tried a survival blanket over a gortex bivvy?
I slept 2 weeks in winter in a survival bag years ago kept me warm
no sleeping bag even in snow yet the problem was the condensation .
Im gonna try the bivvy out sometime with a bag.
