From what I’ve read on the internet, England has only recently started
having proms. Why would you want to borrow such a silly American tradition?
Unless of course the goal is to have more occasions where young women can
    stress themselves out.

  17. Katherine GraceJune 28, 2014 at 11:17 am

My prom is in about 4 hours and I’m quite stressed for the same reasons you
were. To quote Iona from Pretty in Pink, “Don’t analyse it, just go.”

  18. ConalCochranJune 28, 2014 at 11:22 am

Despite all of the problems that arose, you wound up looking gorgeous!
Positively radiant! I know high school-aged Me would’ve been too nervous
    to approach you. :)

That little black & white puppy crawling about in your lap was so cute!
The canine equivalent of Puss Puss.

You putting your fist into your palm and then striking that diva pose made
    me laugh. 😀

I hope your throat is feeling better today. I like your pillow case!
    Hello, Woody!

No proms in France. thank god …. i would have died if had to wear a dress
and make up to an high school events u_u

Ppl can be inconsiderate. I had to get my make up done for college, and I
have trich too, with my eyebrows, I felt guilty for not having eyebrows and
I could feel them getting annoyed

  21. Niamh isnowhereJune 28, 2014 at 1:26 pm

You’re really awesome and I hope you know that

  22. eppicJune 28, 2014 at 2:20 pm

Wow! You looked so damn beautiful! D: But yeah, I didn’t enjoy my prom
either. After dinner and all that crap me and my buddies just chilled
outside the entire evening – we didn’t gave a rats ass about what happened
And later that evening I eventually got sick due to social anxiety (not
sick as in “here comes the dinner”, I just suddenly felt very unwell) and
the mom of one of my friends had to drive me home.

Oh! And your voice! I didn’t really notice anything in this video.

  23. Emi ChuJune 28, 2014 at 3:13 pm

unfortunately I didn’t end up going to my prom due to my trich….

  24. HarrietTwelveThreeJune 28, 2014 at 3:26 pm

Are you growing out your hair at the sides? It looks quite long.
I didn’t have trich when I went to my debs (Irish equivalent of prom) and
considering how clueless and silly I felt about mine since I had no
interest or idea when it came to dresses and make-up I can’t imagine how
horrible it would be to add the stress of major baldness on top of that.
I’m sorry you had to go through that but at least you’re in a more
    confident place now.
I know hairdressers may not always have knowledge of hair loss conditions
or how to style the hair of those with them but they should ask questions
and give suggestions sensitively and respectfully. Seems basic to me but
    apparently not to everyone else.
Good luck to those with prom and the like coming up. I hope you all look
wonderful and have a brilliant time. Good vibes and hugs for you all.

  25. Tess McKayJune 28, 2014 at 4:00 pm

Also what the hairdresser said was completely unacceptable and
disgusting…if you had baldness from chemo they would have been doing
everything they can…struggles of mental illness.

I skipped my prom. I wasn’t popular. I saw no point when there were OTHER
things I would rather be doing.

  27. realitybytes16June 28, 2014 at 4:46 pm

Prom IS an exaggerated school disco – mine was ridiculous! The DJ played
terrible music, so a student (yes, a STUDENT) kicked him off and started
playing even worse music (it was like an MRI machine, the Harlem Shake and
a the death-throes of R2-D2 rolled into one). I had an okay time, but there
was nothing special about it – other than the smart attire and the pomp, it
was exactly like a primary school disco.

    Glad I went, but I wouldn’t have missed much if I hadn’t :D.

  28. caroline fitzJune 28, 2014 at 5:38 pm

for mine my dress was a size 18 but somehow i went down to a size 12 so the
dress had to be sewn onto my bra. when i got there someone stood on the
dress and the zip broke and so did the stitches keeping the dress up. if a
friend didnt grab it i would have been nude on the dance floor.

  29. thedarksaviour755June 28, 2014 at 6:21 pm

You go pretty girl :) Your videos are uplifting and I always feel happier
    when I’hve watched them.

  30. Graeme EvansJune 28, 2014 at 7:15 pm

i had to wear a tux jacket that was about 4 sizes too big so that it fit
over the massive cast on my broken arm.
i wasn’t that bothered about going to prom anyway, so going to something i
wasn’t interested in and looking like a 12 years old in his big brothers
    jacket wasn’t fun.

I think you would have been the most interesting person at your prom no
    matter how you looked :)

  31. Tess McKayJune 28, 2014 at 7:59 pm

My anxiety disorder got so bad that after a major mental breakdown and
multiple suicide attempts I had to start homeschooling at 12…now I’m 17
and 1 semester away from graduation and I’m worse than I was 5 years
ago…and its the little things like not being able to go to prom or
they’re called ‘formals’ here in Australia, are really tricky :S

  32. Yael ZivanJune 28, 2014 at 9:36 pm

Prom is the worst. I went freshmen year and couldn’t go junior and senior
year because i was homeschooled. My boyfriend however my senior year went
to two different proms and invited different girls… Then i dumped him
after seeing the facebook pictures. Basically prom makes me sick.

It looks like an old video, your wall it’s pretty empty. It’s good anyways.
