    So, I went through a couple of the cubs pitchers (past and present) and the
    stats are interesting. Jason Hammels had a 3.19 FIP with the cubs but a 5.1
    with the A’s. When he was in Oakland he had a 4.26 era, so the A’s defense
    saved a little less then a run on his ERA. Jeff Samardzija was better on
    the cubs as well. I thought it was weird that he had a lower WHIP with
    Oakland until I noticed that he had given up twice as many homers. Great
    post and I learned a lot. Thx Brett.
