In other words, we will be standing in the cheese line after retiring from
    civil service.

THE SHOW TOOK A HIT WHEN BURNETT LEFT…….THEN LATER IT WENT COMPLETELY
IN THE DITCH WHEN LETTERMAN DECIDED TO SUCK OBAMAS DICK AND GO ON ANTI GUN
POLITICAL RANTS EVERY NIGHT…..WONDER WHAT THEY WILL DO WITH THE SECRET
    FUCK ROOM

    Just great…really great segment.

Keith somehow made it easier for me to accept Dave saying good night. And
he’s right – Carson was great, but he never had the competition Letterman
did. And was there EVER a better Super Bowl commercial than the one with
Letterman, Leno and Oprah? A classic for ALL time.

Wonderful tribute but you probably should have waited to make a whole piece
out of this until he actually leaves television. The day a person leaves
the air is always more important than the day they announced they will be
leaving the air on some undisclosed day in the very near future.

Letterman wouldn’t make a pimple on Johnny Carson’s ass.

The reveal of the McCain story is icing on the cake of Letterman’s holistic
approach to being the greatest. Better than Carson? How about creating his
own category. Carson, Letterman. There is no third.

Excellent piece, Olbermann. This is the commentary ESPN sorely misses on a
daily basis, and why millions yearn for the glory days where you shared the
    spotlight with Dan Patrick.

    A fucking plus.

Keith Olberman is a total degenerate ignorant, misinformed, stupid ass sack
    of shit.

I miss KO’s political rants. They were much more poignant than his sports
    coverage.
