I am on the same boat and it's hard especially being alone parent . I'm tired of being the one expected to be strong all the time . We have feelings and needs too . It's not the kids fault it's the system we and they live in … hoping the time comes when they will face changing the system no matter what… there's an increase in ASD kids coming into this world.

I feel your worries as it's difficult to explain to people who have non ASD kids

YOU can help your child in BIG ways for dirt cheap. Check out http://www.moveplaythrive.com/ . My son is 18 and we have done this program for 1 year and its amazing. I have done a lot in the past. Also check out http://childrenssuccessfoundation.com/shop/transforming-the-difficult-child-the-nurtured-heart-approach/ Do not give up. I found this stuff late but the brain repairs until we die. Science has proven this now. If you want to talk let me know. I would be happy to answer any questions. You are not alone. You can help your child , do not let the society brainwash you other wise. My son will be doing these movements for 2-6 years to repair his sensory system and children have been known to talk with the NHA ( Nurtured Heart Approach). Hugs to you.
