I remember hearing this alot on Quiet Storm as a Kid. Then I heard it on the love scene with Tre' & Brandi (Boyz And the Hood) I grew up on Jazz/soft music and still love it!

It's July 2016 and it's still as melodic and mesmerizing as it was the first time I heard it in 1989.

I remember when I first heard this song. I got lost in it. And then, I had to go back and listen to it again to understand what I was listening to. Quincy Jones is definitely one of my favorite music producers.

Quincy's bag is adding a multitude of elements, sometimes extremely diverse elements, blending them together and creating magic. it's all over this album too. and as far as the basic melody it's still Simple. Sarah Vaughan is knowingly embracing it, and Take 6 are doing what they do, splendidly. sit by this speakers or put on the earbuds, headphones. It's a sonic experience. super Sonic Amazing. Everyone involved at their best. Try it again a few times. If you don't like polished studio recordings then maybe you'll never enjoy it. Myself, I love the studio. Can't wait to get back in and lay vocal tracks myself. 😁 ~K 😎 #Toronto

Am I the only person who thinks this version really sucks? In the theater we had a saying "Oh my dear, he's really chewing the scenery …"
Sometimes the best way to play a tune is really simply, let the melody speak for itself—this sounds to me like they threw in every trick in the book to try and get a hit …
I have a lot of respect for Quincy, and Sarah is one of the greatest, but this feels to me that they needed to make some quick mortgage payments!
    Just sayin' …
